It is expected that Apple will launch a new version of the iPhone this fall, which will almost naturally be called the iPhone 14. According to analysts and insiders, we can count on a number of improvements, but there is bad news for people with small hands.
The previous upgrade
The iPhone 13 was a fairly limited upgrade compared to the iPhone 12. The housing remained almost the same, as did the screen. There was a smaller notch, a newer, faster chip – the A15 Bionic – and the battery life was slightly better. The hope is that the iPhone 14 improves a solid number of features.
Housing
There are rumors that the iPhone 13 Mini will not return in the new lineup. This is unfortunate for people with small hands, but a logical choice: the small iPhone was not a huge success and most people today want a larger screen. The 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch dimensions of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max are likely to remain. Furthermore, the housing does not seem to change much, except that the camera island can be sunk more into the device.
Screen
There may be talk of the disappearance of the notch and the introduction of a selfie camera under the screen. That would make many people very happy, because the large edge at the top of the device is a thorn in the eye for many. Finally, it is possible that the 120HZ LTPO screen that is in the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will also end up in the standard iPhone 14.
Other
Furthermore, there is of course talk of a renewed chipset, which will most likely be named A16 Bionic Chip. It could also well be that the SIM card slot will disappear, so that only virtual SIM cards can be used. Finally, we can count on an improved battery, perhaps a number of new colors and the introduction of support for the faster WiFi 6E.
