Twitter Blue subscribers can now post Tweets with 10,000 characters

Twitter users with a Blue subscription can now compose tweets with a maximum of 10,000 characters. The Twitter Blue subscription also gets a number of extra options, such as publishing text in italics or bold.

With the new options for Twitter Blue, the platform should improve the reading and writing experience to take it to a higher level. Twitter will increase the maximum number of punctuation marks from 4,000 to 10,000, while the limit for free users will remain at 280 characters.

In addition, Twitter Blue subscribers will now be able to offer subscriptions directly to their followers through the Twitter Blue account settings menu. The following twelve months Twitter will not charge any commission on the revenue generated from these subscriptions. Once the first year is over, Twitter will charge a percentage of the commission, but it is still unclear how high this percentage will be.

Twitter Blue costs 8.47 euros per month in the Netherlands. In addition to the aforementioned features, with a Twitter Blue subscription you get a blue verification check next to your username, you can upload longer videos, you get the option to edit tweets afterwards and you can use two-step verification text messages. Twitter will continue to add more features to the Blue subscription in the future.
