Long hair is back in fashion. And by long we mean: hair up to (very) far over the shoulders. The hair trends for spring summer 2023 for long hair show different styles, but in the end only one comes out as the winner, and that is: hair cut to one length. Classic and feminine. We walk you through the haircuts and styling trends for long loose manes.

The hair trends for 2023 for long hair
70s and 90s style layers
In recent years we have seen a comeback of layers. We owe that to the 90s (and therefore also the 70s) that left their mark on fashion. Layers are back in full swing. We are taking it a bit easier this season. Instead of wild shags and wolf cut with big length differences, we go for long hairstyles with a U or V shape. The hair on the back is longer and becomes shorter towards the shoulders. Another popular layered haircut is the C shape with the front locks framing your face like a C and an inverted C winking at each other.
Jelly fish bangs
Another haircut that we see more and more these days is long hair cut to one length with only the front strands cut very blunt and straight. This hair cut with so-called jelly fish bangs is a bit of an evolution of the butterfly cut where the front locks are shorter than the rest of the hair but flow smoothly into the longer hair length. In addition, are jelly fish bangs much shorter than the face framing locks in the butterfly cut.
Long hair cut to one length

And now the winner: long hair cut to one length. This classic hair style is feminine, chic and always right. You can combine it with a curtain bangs, but also without bangs, this simple hairstyle is very popular this season.
Respect your hair texture

And furthermore: respect your hair texture. Straight hair, curls, frizz? Whatever your texture, take that as a starting point and embellish it. This is how you make straight hair super straight this season, in hair with waves you strengthen the waves and you have curls that show them. Only for special occasions do you venture into a luxurious blowout.
Classic blow blowouts

Because a classic hair style includes – for special occasions – this season one classic blowout. We also owe this to the comeback of the 1990s. Work your long locks with the hair dryer and a thick round brush for a luxurious mass with glamor waves. Not handy with the hair dryer, then go for a curling iron with a thick diameter and shake the curls loose so that your hair flows over your shoulder in beautiful, shiny locks. Tip: for a modern twist, do NOT curl the ends!
wet looks

Most spring summer 2023 hairstyles come with a middle parting, but for a cutting-edge look, make a low side part and force your hair in place with a wet gel. This hairstyle is ideal for bad hair days 🙂
Updos
Furthermore, we will of course also do a lot with our hair. Loose updos, tight ponytails, high and low ponytails, braids, super long (fake) braids. Let your imagination go. We will get back to you soon with hair ideas for updos.
