As you probably already know, exercise is a great way to improve your physical health and work on your mental state at the same time. How is it possible that many people who start exercising (regularly) give up after a few weeks? That’s a question that many people grapple with. The motivation that was so strong in the beginning can also fade away very quickly. For example, you do not see results quickly enough or you simply forget to incorporate the sports moments into your week after a few weeks. That has to change! Do you want to start exercising consistently soon and could you use some tips to keep your motivation high? And do you also want to get straight to the point with cool gymwear? Then read on quickly.
1. You gotta look the part
You can of course exercise in an old t-shirt and worn-out football shorts, but if you want to keep your motivation high, it is important that you make your sports moment(s) as fun as possible. That also means that you should feel good in your sports outfit! When you are doing your best and the sweat is running down your forehead, at least you have a nice outfit to look at. Moreover, sportswear is of course also really made for sports and you get warm much less quickly in the right sportswear.
I personally find it motivating to buy new gymwear. Once the garments are in your closet, you also feel more guilty when you don’t exercise (and therefore don’t wear them). If you are looking for nice new sportswear, I advise you to take a look at Fit&Style. Below you can see a number of examples of which beautiful fitness leggings ladies can purchase there.
Cool right?! I’ve recently started working out (consistently) and I really enjoy putting on beautiful sportswear every time. So this can definitely increase your motivation. Abrasive and/or warm (wrong) sportswear can also reduce your motivation and you naturally want to avoid that. So be sure to give yourself some cool items to work out in!
2. Set realistic goals
It is of course also extremely important to set realistic goals. Some people want to immediately start with daily exercises, while they hardly did any sports before. In that case, the chance that you will not last is very high and then you will undoubtedly lose your motivation to continue. Start with small goals such as exercising for half an hour twice a week. Is this going well for you? Then work from there.
3. Find a sport you like
Another hugely important factor in sticking to your exercise routine is finding a sport you enjoy. If you’re doing something you don’t enjoy, you probably won’t stay motivated to keep it up. Fortunately, there are so many different types of sports and activities that there will most likely be a sport that suits you and your wishes.
4. Work your workouts into your schedule
Planning your workouts can definitely help you stick to your exercise routine. Schedule your workouts in your calendar and treat them like an appointment. Once you develop a regular exercise routine, it becomes a habit and becomes easier to stick to. Works like a charm!
5. Find a gym buddy
By now you have realized that you have to make your sports moment as fun as possible and having a cozy sports buddy can also help you to keep up your sports routine. A sports buddy can motivate you to start exercising and it will therefore be more fun to train together. Find someone who has the same interests as you and preferably wants to practice the same sport.
6. Track your progress
Keeping track of your progress can also certainly help you to keep up your sports routine. This can be done easily, for example, by means of a fitness app, in which you keep track of your workouts and progress. This way you can see how far you have come and what you still need to do to reach your goals.
7. Reward yourself
Finally, rewarding yourself can help you keep up with your exercise routine. This does not necessarily mean that you have to reward yourself with unhealthy food, but you can, for example, reward yourself with a nice accessory or your favorite magazine after a week of good sports. This way you keep it fun for yourself and you stay motivated to keep going.
And those were my tips for today! So don’t forget to check out Fit&Style’s sports leggings and then find a good way that works especially well for you and your life. What do you actually do to keep yourself motivated? Or is sports simply not your thing? I’m curious!
