MAX unveils teaser trailer The Batmanspin-off series The Penguin

HBO MAX has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the upcoming The Batman spin-off series The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell.

After reporting on the development of The Penguin early last year, MAX, formerly known as HBO Max, finally unveiled a first teaser trailer for the new one TheBatman spin-off series. The in-production series will show how the story continues after the events of Matt Reeves’ 2022 film.

Starring Collin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, the mob boss begins his siege to take control of Gotham’s underworld following the demise of Salvatore Maroni. The clip shares footage revealing the continued stylized dark aesthetic, with Reeves serving as executive producer. Farrell stars Cristin Milioti as Carmine Falcone’s daughter Sofia Falcone, Michael Zegen as Carmine’s son Alberto Falcone, and Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni.

The in-production teaser for The Penguin was revealed as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s upcoming content showcase and announcement of its rebrand to MAX. Teasers were also shared during the presentation for Detective: Night Country, The Regime and The Sympathizer.
