Maybe you’ve heard it before too. Hummus is very healthy. And the surprise is that it is very easy to make yourself.
Last Sunday I tried it out for a birthday with tasty pieces of cucumber, sandwiches and carrots. The guests loved it. I got the healthy compliments 😉
How do you make hummus quickly and easily?
Ingredients:
- a jar or can of chickpeas
- 1 large clove of crushed garlic
- 2 tablespoons sesame seed tahini (a paste made from sesame seeds)
- lemon juice (preferably fresh and add at your own discretion)
- freshly ground black pepper and a pinch of salt
- fresh chives
- possibly olive oil
Hummus preparation method:
Now you see how easy it is! Put all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and mix. Add some olive oil if the pasta is too firm. Well simple right?
Hummus is delicious on bread or on a cracker, but also as a healthy dip for bell peppers, cucumbers or carrots.
Tip try it with other fresh herbs such as basil or parsley. At the market I recently had hummus with paprika in it. Also worth a try.
