The French company Little Cigogne is accelerating its expansion in the Netherlands with the acquisition of the estate of the bankrupt Bundleboon.
Bundleboon was a company that sold boxes of clothing for children. The team selected sets of clothing and sold them as curated outfits. Little Cigogne does too.
How much the French pay for the customer base and the online image, consisting of good reviews and ratings, is not known.
Nelli Jeloudar, founder of Bundleboon, says by email that she is happy that her brainchild is getting a second life with an organization with ‘the right infrastructure and reputation’. It is, she emphasizes, not about the legal entity that is being taken over. It’s just the leftovers.
In addition to its home market, Little Cigogne is also active in Germany, Austria and Belgium. The last three since 2021. The following year it started operations in the Netherlands.
