The sleep functions are an extension of the earlier bedtime mode in iOS, which has been called ‘Sleep’ since iOS 14.
With bedtime, it has always been possible to set a desired time to go to sleep and to get up so that you meet your sleep goal. Since iOS 14, the option can be found in the Health app and expanded. Do you have an Apple Watch Series 3 or newer? Then you can even analyze your sleep with the Watch since watchOS 7.
