Hurby delivery company is no more. The company experienced its heyday during the corona period, when small retailers in particular used the company as a delivery service. With the lifting of the lockdowns, profitability disappeared.
A loan and an investment from the government’s Innovation Fund could no longer save Hurby, Quote reports. Bankruptcy has been declared at the request of the lender.
Founder Mark Fontein: ‘Shops went back to the old model, instead of embracing the internet. Very traditional. And national parties are not making enough progress on local delivery.’
Curator Roland Camphuis is looking for parties that want to make a new start with Hurby.
