Child-friendly campsites in Tuscany: an overview
There are numerous child-friendly campsites in Tuscany. Our advice is to first consider at which location you would like to stay and how large the campsite can be. In contrast to, for example, the child-friendly campsites on Lake Garda, there are quite a few small-scale family campsites and even a number of glamping sites in Tuscany. In addition, make a choice in how far you want to stay from the beach, for example, and whether you want to rent accommodation or travel with your own camping equipment.
Book your child-friendly campsite in Tuscany well in advance, so you don’t miss out next summer.
These are our favorite websites to book directly:

Campsite Orlando in Chianti
One of the most famous campsites in Tuscany is Camping Orlando in Chianti. This family campsite is slightly higher, so that it cools down nicely in the evenings during hot summer days. Very nice, because at least you sleep well that way.
The campsite has numerous facilities such as swimming pools, a restaurant, camping shop, sports facilities and an entertainment programme. It is a somewhat larger campsite that is beautifully situated in the green and you can choose whether you look for liveliness or not. Don’t like this? Then choose an accommodation on the edge of the campsite, it is quieter there. This child-friendly campsite in Tuscany is especially suitable for families who want to rent accommodation, which come in all shapes and sizes. You can also use your own camping equipment, but those camping spots are not very spacious and have a gravelly surface.
Camping Orlando in Chianti is an ideal base from which to explore all of Tuscany. Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimigano and many other famous places can be reached.
Our blogger Saskia has been here and wrote this blog about it in which she talks about sleeping in the Airlodge, a very cool glamping site in Tuscany.

Campsite La Futa, Firenzuola
Camping La Futa is a medium-sized campsite with 116 pitches in the middle of the famous Tuscan hills, located between Florence and Bologna. The site is very beautiful on top of the Futapass and you have a different view from every camping spot. The pitches are spacious by Italian standards, although there are also smaller pitches. There are even places where you can be completely on your own, ideal for peace seekers!
There is a pizzeria on the campsite. For the children there is table tennis, jeu-de-boules, a small swimming pool and a playground with a trampoline. The nearest supermarket is half an hour’s drive from the campsite.
Our blogger Marloes stayed at this campsite with her family, you can read her extensive report here.

Camping Nonna Stella, Bibbona
This campsite is located about 60 km below Livorno and 4 km from the coast, among olive groves. What particularly attracted us to this campsite were the very spacious grass pitches (150 m2, fixed BBQ and parasol if desired), good basic facilities (reception with information, fresh bread every morning, clean sanitary facilities, playing field, swimming pool, bicycles to borrow) but also not too many extras. A simple campsite for nature lovers.
Our blogger Fieke spent the night here with her family, read her report here.
The prices and more information can be found on the website of the campsite.

Camping Orbetello, Albinia
Still looking for a campsite with a little more facilities? Then Camping Orbetello in the south of Tuscany might be a good option for your family. It is a quiet but cozy resort with a private beach and a beautiful swimming pool complex. In addition, there is a football field, table tennis and a mini club with entertainment for children between 4-12 years old. Camping Orbetello has 264 pitches.

Valcella Glamping Resort, Grosseto
You can enjoy a real glamping experience at this medium-sized family campsite in Tuscany, for example in a mobile home, a cottage, a bungalow or a glamping tent.
