Are you looking for a fun running holiday or training camp abroad? Then consider a training internship at altitude in Seefeld, Austria. Suitable for enthusiastic runners of all levels.
After two successful editions, Frank Futselaar and Liesse-Lotte Hoogakker, in collaboration with Hotel Wetterstein, are once again offering you the opportunity to come and train in Austria for a week.
The program includes track training at 2,000 meters in Kühtai, hill training on the legendary Doubdle Hill and fartlek training around a beautiful lake.
The internship is from April 29 to May 6, 2023.
The training stage
The fresh mountain air, beautiful panoramas and peaceful surroundings of Seefeld are ideal for both focusing on training (e.g. for competitions) and relaxing.
During the training internship, various training sessions will be given that will improve your running technique and condition. In addition to the usual running training and training methods, specific attention will also be paid to training at height. After all, Seefeld is located between the Alps on a plateau of about 1,200 meters and the athletics track in Kühtai at no less than 2,000 meters!
Overnight in Hotel Wetterstein
The training internship consists of an 8-day trip with 7 overnight stays in Hotel Wetterstein in Seefeld. The hotel specializes in facilitating training camps. Particular attention is paid to healthy meals with sufficient vegetables, carbohydrates and proteins.
The internship includes:
- Training together with the group in the most beautiful places under professional guidance.
- 7 nights full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
- Goodie bag with clothing set (including shirt, shorts, jacket and tights).
- Individual coaching conversation & analysis of current training situation (on request).
The costs for the training internship are € 1050 per person based on 2 persons per room (separate beds). A private room costs €1450.

Frank is 31 years old and has been running since childhood. He is a versatile athlete with fast times on distances between 3 kilometers and the marathon. In December 2020, he ran the Olympic limit at the Vaencia Marathon in 2:11:30. Three years earlier, Frank became Dutch champion 10,000 meters.
Liesse-Lotte is 28 years old and is on a mission to positively change the world of sport through social impact. She works as a project manager in top sports, from the local running competition to the Olympic Games in Paris. In addition, she is active as a running coach to prepare runners as well as possible for a competition.
