Uncertainty: women have a hand in that. Somehow we manage to kick ourselves into the ground. And, that can have a bad influence on you and your mental health. It is therefore important that you stop telling yourself these four lies as soon as possible.
Reticular activation system
There is a part of our brain called the reticular activating system (RAS). That part filters more than 2 million bits of data every day, triggering patterns of behavior centered around thoughts and beliefs about oneself. If you continue to talk yourself into negative things, our reticular activation system will do everything it can to materialize that reality.
If we replace negative self-talk with positive things, our reticular activation system will help manifest a new reality around us. It’s so easy to fall into a hole of self-doubt, but these simple mantras below will make us change the way we think.
1. I am not enough
Replace the sentence ‘I am not enough’ with ‘I am enough, I am worth something and I deserve love and happiness’.
2. I always ruin everything
Replace the phrase “I always screw up everything” with “I recognize every mistake as an opportunity to learn and get one step closer to my true self.”
3. I don’t have time to take care of myself
Replace ‘I don’t have time to take care of myself’ with ‘I need to make time for myself and do things that make me happy, that’s the only way I can heal’.
4. I feel like I’m stuck, I have no goal in mind
Replace ‘I feel like I’m stuck, I have no goal in mind’ to ‘Let’s start, on to the next adventure!’
